With strict regulations on how much space can be built, Oskar, the hotel owner, found inspiration during his trips to New York, where he learned a new dimension of thinking and placing architecturally perfect buildings on a small piece of land.
Ladstätter and Taschler's team of architects from Archilab in Brunico best understood his vision for sustainability and timeless architecture, which will form and visually enter the given surroundings. They designed a timeless dialogue with nature and connected tradition with modern and functional architecture, which creates a unique experience of living in the Gardena valley and at the same time immediately connects you with nature and the authenticity of the mountain world.

Architecture is a subconscious guide that guides us in how we perceive space. It is a visual stimulation of experiencing the space and time you will spend in this place. Saleghes Dolomites, with its efficient location, offers the beauty of living in the slowdown style. During our stay, we were accommodated in the "DESIGN TWO ROOM" apartment. A special feature of the hotel is also adaptation to the needs of the guests. The size of the apartments can be adjusted, as additional rooms can be combined to form a larger living space for family or friends, who can each stay in their own room and share the living area and kitchen for spending time together.

Oskar is a big fan of architecture, so in the book collection, you will find selected works from where he drew inspiration for the hotel. And Ursula, as an art lover, will introduce you to the world of local artists through their stories in art books.

Majestic outdoors
We found our summer slowdown on a cycling trip, which we started from the comfort of the hotel doorstep.
Following the bike path next to the hotel, you follow the road toward the famous Saslong ski slope and then continue to the Monte Panna skiing area, where you enter the most beautiful gravel path that takes you all the way up to the luxurious Alpe di Siusi plateau. A super scenic bike tour with a unique "slowdown effect."
For all those who find their slowdown in nature, Saleghes is one of the most beautiful locations, which has extremely friendly and easy access to nature escapes.

Although the hotel is located between the main road and the bike path on the other side, it has an exceptional position. It offers great accessibility to relaxing in nature during the day and discovering beautiful mountain trails by bike or hiking. You can park your car at the hotel and easily explore only on a bike or on foot from the hotel.
Here you are involved in the daily movement of passers-by, but at the same time, when you cross the doorstep of the hotel, you are embraced by peace and quiet, a place where you can relax and retreat, but you also have an easy access to any outdoor activity or a slow walk to Selva for a dinner or a coffee. A super nice location to enjoy Val Gardena to the fullest.
