Evenings will become your favorite "Slowdown" retreat when you embark on the Heimspitze culinary journey. What a spoil! Here cuisine is on the highest level. Full of flavors but beautifully balanced. Perhaps the fact that Amelie lived in France until her 18th birthday will give you a hint that you will not find typical Austrian cuisine here.
Her passion is traveling the world for food so she brought all her love for "real, natural" food and using only local ingredients back to Gargellen and created a unique Slow Food retreat with honest products and their vegetables, grown in their garden. During the summer season each day, the menu is set upon the ingredients available in the garden so that they can be freshly picked and served.

Their love for traditional arts and design is felt all over the hotel. One of our favorite vibes is created around the breakfast as it is served in unique Bunzlau pottery. These beautiful pieces form a part of their crockery collection. So their homemade breakfast dishes taste even more special and the visual effect of the cute pottery definitely brings the "slowdown effect" to the table.

Wellness is not only a sauna and steam bath but also a pure experience of pristine nature that surrounds their place at 1423 meters above sea level. As one of the last houses in the village tries to imagine this silence when cars are not passing by, you can't hear a noise from the street, only birds singing and a gentle breeze.
You can chill in their Schöpfle - an authentic place to mingle in the garden in a pleasant atmosphere that provides more outdoor relaxing spaces. Enjoy the mountain views whilst listening to the sound of the water from the fountain and streams.
